Here’s a little animation of frames taken from Misfits episode five, series two for all the fans out there who were wanting Alisha to touch Nathan but never got their wish to see what additional filth would sprout from his mouth. Below is the proof they actually DID touch, albeit unintentionally so and apparently without any effect whatsoever! Please click the image beneath for the animation:

A genuine mistake by the makers of Misfits or was Nathan completely immune from any outside influence upon his person due to the power of “immortality” – or “luck of the Irish” as it could be interrupted – that was bestowed upon him after the lightning strike? Well, this is a moot point now as the writers had the damn fool sell his gift, along with Alisha’s “Rape me now!” power, thus removing any potential future interaction of their storm-induced personality traits in series 3.
A great loss to Misfits fans everywhere…
The episode where they all take the pills and it reverses there powers, nathan gains the ability to see dead people, he retains this ability after the pills wear off why?
if it was always his ability why was it not affected by the pills, and why had we not seen it untill the episode where they take the pills, im sure the people they already killed would have a few things to say?
perhaps its just something to do with nathan and his off the wall behaviour, maybe he really isn’t right in the head, and perhaps this affects the way he is affected by outside forces, highly unlikely since there has been no hints towards that end, but im still curious

He always had the ability to see dead people (or from what I can gather) the pills reversed his immortality meaning he could be killed which is why he had to be saved from the fire or he would have died.
But yea, if he could see dead people from the start he would have surely bumped into the probation workers. seems like a last minute decision to throw in that ‘twist’ to the episode.

Nathan being able to see the dead is one of the few plotlines that I have problems with. Mainly because, yeah if he could see the dead, that power should have gone away with his immortality. I have to fanwank that and say that the adrenaline jump from the even after the car explosion cleared out his system. That’s why it took him a second to finally see Jamie’s Ghost.
As for why he didn’t see ghosts in season 1, I just say that aspect of his power didn’t kick in until he died for the first time. That trapped him between worlds and he could see the dead.

They also touch in episode 3, when they are trying to plan stealing a car. He pulls Curtis and Alisha in and say they need to work as a team. He clearly has his hand on her shoulder and pulls her towards him. Nothing happened.

I know, but I didn’t point that one out as Curtis was touching her through clothing and not directly skin-to-skin. It’s the same as with Nathan and Alisha when they’re hiding in the car park waiting for Simon and Jessica to appear in series 2, episode 5: Nathan grabs hold of Alisha and pulls her behind the car, but again the contacts over the clothing.
